Hi,

I want to upgrade from v4.0.1 to the latest available version.
But i have done a lot of customisation, so I just don't want to upload the latest template files, but only upgrade to latest version with the old design and tpl files.

Is it okay to do so?

Any suggestions?

Thanks & Cheers

Without the templates, most of the features will not exist and admin settings you choose won't do anything. Depending on how your 4.0.1 templates were done some URL rewriting may cease also, or the site could become very slow.

4.0.1 templates presumably had some bugs as well -- that's why I released the subsequent 40 editions of the 4.0 series over the last year and a half or so. Check the file comparison tool if you want the list of changes: www.wsnforum.com/filecompar...emplates%2Fmultilingual%2F

Upgrading directly to 4.1.x from 4.0.1 will also mean losing language, so it's better to update to 4.0.42 first.

Yes, the english-only language should be automatically upgradeable.
