-I created a link using "suggestlink". It appeared in the directory. -I regenerated everything -I rejected the link -I regenerated everything -the link disappeared
Till here everything seems to be fine.
-I tried to create the same link again using "suggestlink". -WSN tells: "That URL already exists in the directory."
2 Questions: 1) this is a bug, isn't it? 2) if the URL really would exist in the directory, how can I let someone put the same link in 2 different Categories? He/She should have the option to make his suggestion converted to a secondary link or so. Otherwise there's no chance for s.o. to put it there.
I don't see why you're regenerating anything. Anyhow, how can you possibly reject something that already appeared in the directory? If it's pending validation then it doesn't appear. If it does appear then it's too late to reject it. Maybe you mean you're deleting it?
As for secondary categories, you just select them from the secondary categories list.
1) well I admit sometimes i regenetrate too often its because sometimes things don't get updated, and I'm not totally sure what exactly to regenerate, to get it all fine. what I did to reject the link was the following: I sent a report about the link (which was not pending anymore) In the received email there was a link, which I did follow. On that page, there was an option to reject. After that rejection, and regenerating everything, the link was gone (before regeneration, , the linktype-header could still be seen)
EDIT: I now have tried that again, and it seems in edit.tpl this line allows me to reject an existent link:
After pressing reject, the following shows up: "Add your custom reason for this rejection in the box below, then click 'Send Rejection'. The custom reason will be displayed wherever you have {REASON} in your 'email_rejectbody' language (or email_registrationdeclinedbody if this is a member you're rejecting). To send a standard rejection, just leave this blank.
Send custom rejection from the email ... with this text:"
After rejecting I get redirected to the admin-site (without the left navigation frame), and a checking the category, the link has vanished...
2) hm, i thought about one website-link in 2 different categories. what are the options for a user?
Ah, forgot the edit page had a reject option too. Added a link, rejected it through the edit page, then suggested it again... no problem, went through. I have these settings.
2) The user simply clicks the desired categories if you've set usergroup permissions to allow them to.
1) It works now. I found out that the setting must be like you showed on your screenshot: "Dissallow any reuse of the same domain name?" must be set to YES (btw. I don't want to get picky but you have a typo in disSallow) And that seems strange to me, somehow I understand it exactly the other way round. Shouldn't it be NO if i wanna allow a URL-reuse??
which brings me to point no. 2) ok, if i set this option correct, a user shouldn't have any problem submitting an existent URL several times.
another point concerning reject: when I click it, it brings me to a strange looking site, as i explained above. From that site, I am led to http://localhost/wsnlinks/admin/index.php?show=main, witout any admin navigation frame. shouldn't I be led back to the directory?
