Using permissions groups would make much easier to change the permissions of categories than it is now.
When i say permission groups, i mean to store a set of permissions with a unique name, and then only select that name from a dropdown-box when setting a category's permissions.
Right now, if the majority of the categories use a single permissions-pattern and only a few other use special ones, there is no problem.
But if there are two major permissions patterns, both of them used by a lot of categories, then it is very difficult to maintain the site.
