Paul,
When you release 4.1 are you going to charge a fee again to upgrade?

No. All accounts which can download the current will still be able to when the current series becomes 4.1, those who still haven't upgraded will see 4.0 as it becomes the legacy series, and 3.4 will end.

I wouldn't expect another upgrade fee for a couple of years, and at that point it'll be enouraged-but-optional, like this one, since it worked well this time.

Paul
Was just curious. Didn't mind paying for the upgrade before especially with all the new features you added to it. Just wanted to know what to expect is all.

I'm almost done with features, could release an alpha any time but I think I'll do some testing first. The hope is that I can find someone willing to let me pay them to do a template set. One person expressed interest but I haven't heard back again. It's amazing how hard it is to get people to let me throw money at them, especially when I let them name their own hourly rate. Anyhow, the template design will presumably take a few weeks and once it's done I'll release a beta. If nobody bothers to use the beta then a bug-riddled 4.1.0 will be released shortly after... if people do use the beta then the beta process will be extended as long as needed to have a good final 4.1.0.

Edit: I should note that 4.0.x will continue to be supported for the foreseeable future, probably to the end of the year, since 4.1 is looking like a difficult upgrade.

I'll look forward for the alpha/beta release of v4.1

Cheers
