I was trying to edit the suggestlink.tpl template through admin, but I got the following error when I tried to submit the changes:
Warning: opendir(../templates/default/custom/): failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/username/public_html/wsn/admin/admincommonfuncs.php on line 272
Permissions on the suggestlink.tpl file are 666
I did a default install of 3.3.19, and there is no /templates/default/custom/ directory. The only directories at that location are:
You should reupload everything -- if your FTP upload somehow skipped one directory, it may have skipped others. (The directory always has been and always will be there.)
I originally downloaded the bz2 version, not the zip.
I just now downloaded both to compare. The zip file contained the custom dir, but the bz2 file did not. It looks like the bz2 version also does not have the javascript dir, but zip does. I haven't looked further into it, though.
Both directories are there in the 3.3.19 .tar.bz2 file which has been available all this month. Just checked for you. "ZipGenius" must be broken or misconfigured software -- sounds like it skips all empty directories. I can't test it since it's a Windows program.
When I was on Windows I used 7-zip and didn't have any problems with bz2, though that was 4 years back and things may have changed.

I should have mentioned which file I downloaded.
