Well, hadn't been here for some time, and just recommended WSN links to a client that needed two installs, and the price was right for her. Just before she orders I check that nothing had changed, and it's good I did...licenses have essentially tripled in price ($59 x1 vs $59 x3). I understand the need, and support you charging what you feel is fair, but now I look kind of foolish to this client. Will you be offering any sort of discounts for multiple license holders, or is the current pricing it, at least for now?
Client decided to order 2 individual licenses, so this is no longer an issue, but it brought up another thing that bears mentioning. They used 2checkout, and after ordering received this response:
Your purchase of WSN Links is now under review by 2checkout. Within a few days they will determine whether they consider you to be commiting credit card fraud or not. If your IP differs from your stated location and they can't reach you at the phone number you provide, your order will be canceled.
If you don't like such delays, you should've used PayPal as the page urged you to.
A little harsh, no? They nearly cancelled, citing this response was very rude and unprofessional (their words). You might consider rewriting this to be a little less accusatory and inciting. Here's a suggested alternative:
To help prevent fraud, all new orders are examined by 2checkout for validity, a process which may take several days to complete. To expedite your order, we would suggest you instead use Paypal as the payment method, as suggested on the purchase page of our site.
Something like this may leave the buyer feeling a little less chastised...just a suggestion.
The bulk prices are listed on the purchase page link. The discount for a 3 pack is significant but relatively small (3 = $130 if I recall correctly), the prices for larger quantitites are more discounted and thus less changed from the old bulk values. To help prevent fraud
But frankly, 2checkout is simply incompetent and cancels all sorts of orders that I very much doubt are fraud. Anyhow I've changed the message since apparently some people misinterpret it as though it were saying I suspect fraud (which if you read it it doesn't) when it's actually about 2co and their snail-paced random cancelations which it would take too long to keep arguing them out of. I don't want to delete the IP/country comment like you suggest though, because it's really very important, so I'll expand it instead.
Title: Automated Notice Regarding $script Order Body: You've selected to use 2checkout instead of PayPal for payment. As the purchase page mentions, this means your purchase of $script will be under review by 2checkout for a while (probably a couple of days) since they require humans to individually check orders.
Note that if your IP traces to a different country than the credit card owner's stated country of residence and 2checkout can't reach you at the phone number associated, they will inevitably cancel your order. Of course there are plenty of legitimate reasons why your IP could differ from the credit card holder location, but don't expect 2checkout to understand this. If you're a web designer purchasing using a client's credit card, you need to inform your client to tell 2checkout to approve the order when they're called.
The delay in order processing is highly annoying, but unfortunately a part of doing business with 2checkout. PayPal purchases provide you with instant access to download.
Sorry...I'd left out the IP bit since it wasn't relevant to the complaint. That wording is much friendlier, I feel, thanks for listening to suggestions.
Just for the record, I do feel the script is worth the price asked.

I fully agree. That statement is just bad business.
I need to check what the current pricing is as well... I hope there's a discount structure in place... $59 x 3 is steep.
