Just upgraded from 3.3.6 to 3.3.8 but I get the following message. Have tried running it a couple of times, no difference. Never had prob before in upgrading. The _notes file in styles that it mentions - I tried deleting it but for some reason have no permission to access this file. Will get on to my host to get rid of it. It's a folder that Dreamweaver put in.
Also on this site in the links directory there are 15 files with the name core.# where hash is a different number. All are about 20 odd mg - any idea what these are?
Attention: You need to chmod your templates/styles/_notes file to 666 so that it will be writeable.
Any file placed in /templates/styles is presumed to be a stylesheet, nothing else should be uploaded there. Same goes with lots of other things like /templates/, /languages/, /integration, /modifications/.

Check their content, but I'd presume it's more dreamweaver gunk. Dreamweaver seems to be to filesystems what frontpage is to html code.
It's a folder that Dreamweaver put in.
Then don't upload things with Dreamweaver, if it's going to insert random undeleteable files in harmful places.

Strange - I have never known Dreamweaver to put gunk in. The only thing thing I have ever known it do is to put a notes folder in by default if you forget to turn it off.
I don't use Dreamweaver to upload, but I do use it to edit the rest of my site and just didn't see the new folder it had made before uploading.
