Comments on the small guided tour recently added are welcomed, also, along with any suggestions for increasing sales (that don't involve reaching a human at google to get a response on why the site seems to be banned, as that's impossible).

Hallo Paul,

in my opinion is the best logo 5. It is simply and modern. But I think that small blank between character L and I is better. wink

I much prefer number 5. It's very simple, yet modern and professional looking. smiling face

No 5 is probably the better one.

(sorry didn't realize how aged this topic was..)

I like 2 and 5. I've always kind of liked the metal type effects smiling face

I concur on the LU separation. Looks kind of like NU as is, even though anyone will figure it out with minimal further interest.

Maybe emphasize "the" with a slight shade darker.

Lastly it might be worth considering resizing any/all logos to defacto standard banner/button sizes.

IE:
120x90 180x90 336x280
120x240 180x150
120x600 468x15
200x90 468x60
125x125 234x60
250x250 728x15
160x90 728x90
160x600 300x250

#5 is the one I didn't make, contributed by spor... not surprised it's better, figures.

Added the space and applied it. I think I'll change the text to "A WebmasterSite.net Script" shortly though.

Lastly it might be worth considering resizing any/all logos to defacto standard banner/button sizes.

A wide one doesn't leave enough room for the tabs, and a tall one leaves needless whitespace.

I have most of a 'dark' style completed, using and drawing upon the dark style of WSN Forum. I'll make a new thread to elaborate since I have a few areas that I am stuck on.

Just for kicks though, here is the logo I make for it.

Paul,

I also believe logo n°5 is very good.

Answering your inquiry on comments for the guided tour,
I believe it would be important to start the tour explaining that
although WSN Links is intender to be the state of the art on building links directories, it can be used to build directories of nearly any type of data. Examples of directories are: Yellow Pages, Classifieds (of any tipe: automotives, real state, personals,..), (I would like to know of ideas of other users too)..., etc.
At this beginning I would say that the following guided tour is intended to give you a very superficial idea on the capabilities of the script to build specially a links directory according to your requirements and compatibilities.
Although at ending the tour your will mention this similar ideas I would maintain them.

I will be PM you this weekend on my ideas on how to increase sales

Kind Regards
Paul

I turned my PMs off on this forum since some people were using them for support, and I don't need a third different place to dig through to find support issues (particularly when trying to search to see where I remember dealing with a problem from). Please email instead (through the form or directly to support at this domain).
