In WSN Links version 3.16 I am getting a blank page when doing minor html editing in my templates. When using the WSN Links admin panel, I change a template in a very minor way (html only) save it, and the resulting page in the browser is blank. The source code from the page showing in the browser shows only opening and closing <html> and <body> tags. I can "fix" the page by putting the original template back (by using the WSN Links admin panel). I have restored all the pages from the original templates, so currently all pages are showing.
If it helps to know, I can edit the default css in the admin panel and everything works great.
The folders for my templates and templates/default are chmoded to 755. The templates themselves are 666.
So... I can't do minor html editing. Can I fix this? Or, if I FTP an altered template will that make any difference? I almost tried that but I'm a bit spooky now.
Thank you.
(P S I found a very similar thread to this in the "Basic Edition" area of this forum, but there did not seem to be a definate answer as to what to do.)
This could be the old issue of having permission to create a file but not to put any content into it, in a new way. Anyhow it'd be helpful if you could ask your host about it, and perhaps they know what sort of unusual things they may do with permissions on their server.
