Hi I have purchased the software a few weeks ago and am about to launch my Australain Directory business however I have a few questions:

Please note Im not very experienced with PHP so please don't speak to technical lol.

1) A lot of people seem to not like redirecting directorys and prefer static links since Google dont track them or give them PR, is there any way to do this and still track how many hits each link has recieved?

2) Also I have deleted my categories after testing it, but on my directory it still says I have 7 links, how do I reset this?

I cant seem to remember the other Q;s I had so this will do for now, thanks.

1) To use direct links, you have to switch off hits tracking. I don't see how it's logically possible to track without a tracking link.

2) In your admin panel, click 'regenerate counters' and then 'regenerate totals'.

Thanks Paul.

Is there any way to makethe categories URL's not PHP, one of mine atm is www.urldirect.com.au/direct...ction=displaycat&catid=216

Im not too sure but would Google pick up this full URL because I thought it only picks up everything until the php? part and everything after isnt added to the SE.

PS and about the URL hit counter if my directory is using static links, isnt it possible to manually add a code which tracks a url's hits, I dont know if this is possible to do in the directory or even where I would add it. Thanks again for the help.

That's a silly myth from the 1990s that a couple seconds of using any search engine would disprove, but see scripts.webmastersite.net/w...s_with_mod_rewrite-62.html
