Hi,

I would like to set up a column or section just for subscrbing to the newsletter instead of going to the register page and enter all the required information. Like on the main index pages, there will be a section where visitors can enter their email address only and they are being included in the member feature instead of having to register and type in theri passwords to get the latest link added. Does this makes sense?

Thanks.

Added: I have visitors asking me that they want to subscribe to my mailing list. And i have to go all the way and register a new account for them with certain passwords and email them the password and details about logging in the site. This is too much work done. Is there a way to just include their email and that visitor is included in the database?

If you're talking about emailing non-registered people, use a mailing list script for it.

Mailing list works but can i integrate the list into the member database like one password and user will be generated whenever a user enter their email address into the list. Sounds complicated even for myself to describe this.

Maybe i should just use a mailing list script and import the emails from the wsn database to send emails.

Sounds simplest, if you want to force all members to get the emails as well as your non-members.
