I have edited the details.tpl and receive to follow error:

If you are not the administrator of this site, please report this page to the administrator. If you are the administrator, please pay careful attention: You have a parse error in your template templates/default/blank.tpl (or perhaps in your header or footer) which you need to repair before this page can be displayed correctly. The error is picked up on by php at line 107 of the output.
This is what the problematic area of the template looks like during parsing:
Line #102: </form></div>
Line #103: </div>
Line #104: <?php } ?>
Line #105:
Line #106: <?php if (3 > 1 && "2" == {LINKOWNERID}) { ?>
Line #107: <?php if (1) { ?><br><br>

[Load this template in your template editor]

Note that the line of the output is not necessarily the same line number in your template... just look for a similar looking area. The source of your error is probably not on line 107 itself, but most likely a line or two before it. Check your code carefully for syntax mistakes. If you cannot recognize one, copy and paste this output into a thread on the support forum.

I an unable to spot the error. The page diplays fine at http://www.cdnroots.com/link.php?action=detail&id=25

I would appreciate any help

Are you talking about the preview, or the actual page? The previews don't have actual link data to work with so they can often show errors, though most if not all of those were cleaned out around 3.14 or so.

It only occurs in the preview. The actual page is ok, there error does not show there. I am using basic version 3.12B. I will be upgrading to the paid version as soon as my income tax rebate comes in!
