I hate it when people block tracking cookies. They can't possibly do any harm, and it's basically killed off the possibility of running an accurate legitimate affilate program since people don't keep the cookies. People using the WSN Links affiliate program, for example, may be getting credited for fewer refered purchases than they should just because some people may remove the cookie before buying.

Anyhow, if you use firefox and configure it to not allow any sites except specific trusted ones to install software then it's hard to get any sypware. (And I've got double immunity, running firefox in linux.)

I have to second the comment that this one is nicely designed. Looks very professional yet without looking dull.

I agree. The bad actions of a few cause society to over-react and inconvenience everyone. Most computer users just assume that in today's world, they need to block everything they can that is not something they speciffically choose to receive.

If that is your work, you are a designer, it looks great.

The first attempt, as far as I know, using WSNLinks power and functionality for a Casino Directory.

http://directory.wizardofchips.com

you wont even recognize it as WSNLinks (well maybe a little somewhere)

ive added many custom fields, tweeked the search accordingly. tweeked how links are displayed, and much much more.

Its a nice mix of custom templates, toplists, and the outright power of a MySQL database backend.

Any feedback or criticism would be great. But go easy on me lol....! Im like Paul, I really have no design sense. My strength is structure and functionality.
Keep that in mind if you want to hack and slash my sites artistic side (although Ive spent months reaearching and working on colors and presentation)

I have great expectations for this site. There is really no other site like this that goes as deep as I do by offering the kind of search capabilities WSNLinks can provide.

thanks Paul and anyone else who has contributed or offered some kind of input, even if they may not know it, I appreciate the hell out of it!!!

While I do rely on search engines for some traffic (much more as the site grows older), the site is still in its infancy, so I must do more...

reciprocal links, banner exchanging, toplists, posting in forums with my URL in signature... this is accounting for the majority of my traffic currently.

when i say purchasing players I mean that someone has clicked through one of my casino affiliate links and downloaded casino and deposited cash at the casino. I make a percentage of his deposits for life! Most casino affilate programs offer between 20-30% of purchasing players deposits. Some more some less, some have some catches to them etc....

It really has nothing to do with a WSNLinks function. WSNLinks is just the best way I have found to present my affiliate links to potential gamblers.

Although it's a work in progress, have a look at our client site, a heat pump directory. A few minor template adjustments, and we're focusing our efforts on organic SEO - we have good results in MSN Search, with MSN Bot crawling just about the whole site on a daily basis.

The static url feature is absolutely great in WSN links - in fact, the entire coding design is impressive, although it does require a server with decent MySQL performance.

Once our SEO work is stabilised, we'll focus on sprucing up the UI, with improved colours and graphics.

Cheers,

Rob
