How much of a stretch would it be to include adobe pdf's as upload types? I added the pdf extension to the list of allowed extensions, whick allowed the upload, but no luck on getting them to display. I have a fair amount of users who submit their photos in pdf format (for whatever reason, it's definitely not the most logical choice) and it would be great to be able to display those.
The thumbnail wouldn't be a problem (your default thumbnail image suggestion would work fine) but, when I click on the pdf that I uploaded now, it won't display in the resulting page. I can click on the File Details: link on the resulting page that allows me to download the pdf but, that's not really what I am looking for.
How could I get the pdf to open in a browser window (providing that they have the pdf browser plugin, of course) when someone clicks on the default thumbnail image for a pdf? Also, could I designate a specific folder that only pdf's get uploaded to, maybe a seperate upload form for pdf's?
Ah. All non-images are presumed to be downloads when using download.php. Have you tried linking directly, with {IMAGETITLE} ?

No way to do that in the near future. (A separate upload can be done with a custom field field, but there's no way to make it upload to a different directory.)
No, I haven't really tried anything more than uploading a pdf the default way (I'm doing major changes to my databases before integrating the scripts).

They won't show thumbnails of the actual PDF content, but you can create a default thumbnail for them. Read bottom section of scripts.webmastersite.net/w...ery/manual/link.php?id=138
