Help - login shows im logged in - I see my name showing im logged in, and I can view profile etc... but then when i get redirected or hit continue, I go to my index.php and I am not logged in anymore. I have to log in again - repeat, wash rinse, a vicious cycle...
I made sure there were no redirects in the redirct fields for user login, still problems.
Im stumped - actually it works fine on my admin computer. But on 2 other laptops it wont work.
I thought it might be cookie settings on the other computers so I set them to allow all. Even set the site to be accepted and to always allow session cookies. Still wont work.
What could be the problem. I mean it's great that I can get it to work on my own computer but how many other users are going to have a problem?
Admin comp is running xp and so is one laptop, the other laptop is running 2000.
1st - can this be a cookie problem? I do achieve login on the laptops, but as soon as I redirect off the page (timed or manual) it's like it resets the cookie to zero. I just get sent to index.php and have the option to login again.
2nd - If it is a problem with cookies - would there be any problem with a modification to a template? Does a cookie call any required specific critera such as language, template, or stylesheet?
Just a bit weird that it works on my main computer - but all 4 other computers in the office it will not stay logged in.
Hate to be a newbie, but I thought I knew what I was doing by putting .mysite.com in the cookie settings. Out of desperation I pulled it out and left it blank - and it worked!
After so much research - I'm getting to know the program quite well.
Ty anyway!

Are you getting redirected to a different (of lack of) subdomain -- logging in at www.yourdomain.com and being redirected to yourdomain.com?

Sorry Paul - didn't see your post b4 i resubmitted.
I checked and no I'm not getting redirected to a subdomain.
I get a 'You are now logged in' screen (url is www.mydomain.com/dir/index.php?action=userlogin&filled=1)
then it redirects automatically to www.mydomain.com/dir/index.php and I am not logged in anymore...
Thanks.
